Léa Téchy

Léa lived in one of the first houses in the village of Marcouray coming from the woods where Colonel Hogan had spent the night with Gast and D'Orio. It was she who welcomed them into her home and sheltered them throughout the entire siege of Marcouray.

Unfortunately for her, her house was completely destroyed in a fire due to fierce fighting during the siege of the village. This house, now belonging to her descendants, is divided into two parts: a private section and a bed and breakfast, where the colonel's HQ cellar still stands — the place where he refused to surrender to the Germans.

In tribute to her memory, the guesthouse is called 'Chez Léa'.
